Key Personnel


Johnson J. H. Wang, President, has a BSEE from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. Before joining WEO, he had been for many years on the faculty at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, and had several years of industrial experience prior to that. As the Chief Scientist, he is an expert in the areas of antennas, microwave, and electromagnetic theory, as well as lightwave technologies and wireless communications. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and is listed in Who's Who in Technology, American Men and Women of Science, etc. The author of a book, Generalized Moment Methods in Electromagnetics - Formulation and Computer Solution of Integral Equations, Wiley, 1991, Dr. Wang has many inventions and more than 100 publications.

William K. Alverson, Vice President, has a BSEE from the University of Kentucky and an MS from The Ohio State University. He has over 35 years of experience in electromagnetic systems and technology. From 1971 to 1992, he was Vice President at Electromagnetic Sciences Incorporated, responsible for business development and special programs. He was a technical leader in that company�s adaptation of its ferrite switch/phase shifter technology to defense and space systems involving phase scanned antennas, switched beam antennas, beam forming networks for reconfigurable multiple beam antennas, electronically scanned and reconfigurable antennas, adaptive jamming techniques, etc. His in-depth knowledge in defense related applications has benefited from his thirty-two years of active and reserve service in the U.S. Armed Forces, from which he retired in 1992 as a Colonel.
